4 Tips to Find No Credit Check Apartments
Who knew apartments required good credit before giving you a lease? Many unsuspecting bad-credit-applicants have realized this fact the hard way. I know I did.
Why do apartments do credit checks anyway?
Turns out apartments view a lease as a loan. If you’re seeking a 12-month lease on an apartment that’s $800 a month, you’re essentially taking out a $9600 loan that you repay over a period of a year. If you’re late, you’ll get a late fee. If you’re too late, they’ll repossess the apartment. So in that sense, I guess it is a loan.
Just like a loan from a bank, you must have a pretty decent credit score if you want to get approved for most apartments. Without that score, you’ll have to fork up the cash to pay for the apartment, get someone credit worthy (and often a property owner) to co-sign, or you’ll have to look elsewhere. Looking elsewhere is the only option for most people with bad credit.
If you want to rent with bad credit, you’ll have to find a no credit check apartment.
Anyone who’s been apartment hunting using those free guides you pick up from the gas station and Wal-Mart knows no credit check apartments aren’t easy to be found. A Google search for “no credit check apartments” returns over 1 million results. Few of them are actually websites of places that will give you an apartment without a credit check. That’s because finding apartments that don’t do credit checks is a little tough, as you’ve probably already seen. People who own no credit check apartments don’t do much advertising and they certainly don’t advertise in the glossy pages of apartment books.
Here are some things to keep in mind as you look for an apartment that doesn’t do credit checks.
No credit check apartments are typically owned by individual landlords rather than a large property management company. Individual landlords often own one or two properties. So based on the number tenants they have, it’s often not worth it to do a credit check.
Large apartment complexes almost always do credit checks. The way they see it, they can’t afford to lose money on a non-paying tenant, so they do their due diligence upfront to prevent that from happening.
Apartments with lots of amenities are typically owned by large property management companies and are more likely to check your credit. So, if you have bad credit, stay away from the apartments with pools and workout rooms.
An individually-owned condo or townhouse probably won’t require a credit check, especially if it’s newer. Chances are the owner hasn’t been through many tenants and probably hasn’t had a tenant skip out on the rent, so they don’t have much reason to do credit checks.
No credit check apartments are out there. Use some of these clues to weed out apartments. Look for an individual who owns an apartment rather than a large company. That’s your best bet for getting into an apartment with bad credit.
Do Slimming Body Wraps Really Work?
There are a lot of different ways to lose weight out there. All of these weight loss theories are, of course, based on different research. One way to lose weight that has been spreading around the world is the slimming body wraps. Now, as you may have guessed, just like other weight loss ideas, this does not work for everyone. However, you may be shocked to find out just how many people the body wraps work for. Right now, we are going to talk about the different ideas behind body wraps and what the positive and negative outcomes could be from these things.
The first positive thing to note about body wraps is that you can do them from home, thus, there are a lot of kits that are being sold to not only the United States, but parts of Europe as well. Now, all the different kits out there are going to have different variations of what is in them. Either way, most of them are going to have some kind of version of the these items, things like cotton elastic wrap, vinyl sauna suit, and instructions. Some people do have problems understanding the instructions, but the good news here is that you can buy videos out there that tell you how to use these slimming body wraps. That means you are never going to have to be left out in the cold about what to do.
A lot of people think that the slimming body wraps work on the theory of water reduction. They think that the heat that is made from wearing the wraps causes water to be removed from the body. Since the body is made up of mostly water, it has a slimming affect. However, it’s also nice to point out that these body wraps do have weight loss and fat reduction benefits as well. In fact, they tell you to drink a lot of water when you have the suits on, thus, you would be adding more water back to your body. So really, the people who think it’s all built on water reduction are not 100% right. One thing is for sure, water is lost and you have to put more water back in your body. Of course, to lose that water, your body has to work it off, thus, you are burning off calories that is causing you to lose weight.
Now, just like any weight loss method, you have to eat right while using the method to see any kind of results, thus, having good eating habits and working out will insure that these results are lasting. Many people are afraid that they will put the weight back on as soon as the body wrap comes off. If you keep eating right and working out, then you can keep the weight off!
Another nice thing to point out about the body wraps is the fact that you can still workout with them on. There is no rule against that. Of course, you need to make note that the body wrap has to stay tight when it is on you, thus, you will have less movement. That means that some workouts will, of course, not work while you have the body wrap on.
Kayaking Facts
Kayaking is the process by which a kayak will be used to move through rivers or lakes. The kayak is a small boat that must be powered by a human. It will have a deck which is covered, and it will also feature a cockpit that is covered as well. A special paddle is used to push it forward, and this boat was first invented by the Inuit and Aleut hunters in the colder regions of North America. A contemporary kayak can come in a wide variety of different styles, and kayaking is a sport which is enjoyed by many people. Research has indicated that the kayak has existed for at least 4,000 years.
Some kayaks can hold a maximum of three people, but they will commonly only seat one or two people. The person will sit in the cockpit facing forward, and the spray skirt will stop water from getting into the craft. While the Aleut or Inuit males would design kayaks to be used for hunting, some kayaks were specifically designed for women. Generally, a kayak will be about 17 fee long, and could be 22 inches wide and 7 inches deep. In the early models, the kayak could almost be compared to an additional layer of clothing. Kayaks are commonly used today by people who practice kayaking.
Kayaking is the process of paddling a kayak on water that is moving. While some people consider it to be a sport, others do it for mere recreation. There are multiple forms of kayaking, and the two most common are Sea kayaking and Whitewater kayaking. While traditional kayaks were made from wood and animal skins, most kayaks today are made from materials such as kevlar or fiberglass. Some people will challenge fast moving rivers by using a kayak to move through certain sections of a river. These trips may last a single day, or could last multiple days. Whitewater Racing is a professional competition in which racers will attempt to use kayaks to outrace each other.
The term creeking is used to describe kayaking in difficult rivers. People who practice creeking can expect to run into slides, waterfalls, and ledges. Slalom is another form of kayaking in which racers will try to get to the bottom of the specific part of a river. Not only must they move quickly, they must also move around gates, and these are poles that have been set up at certain points in the river. Most Slalom races will have over 20 gates on a single course, and they must be properly navigated. Playboating is another variation which places an emphasis on the artistic side of kayaking instead of the speed.
With this style, the participants will generally remain in one portion of the river, and will seek to move from one point to another. However, they will need to work against the power of the river in order to achieve this. Kayaking is a sport that is popular in places that have strong river. However, it can be dangerous, and some participants have died in the most difficult rivers.
The Haunted Places of St Augustine, Florida

There are many haunted places in St. Augustine, Florida. This city is often referred to as the “Ancient City” or as “The Nation’s Oldest City”. There is good reason too! This is, in all actuality, is the oldest city in the United States of America. In the year of 1565, a man by the name of “Pedro Menendez de Aviles” actually took the part of founding this city, even though he was not the first individual to step foot upon the land. The first documented case of a visitor was the ever-popular “Ponce de Leon”. In this informative guide, I will share with you the stories of the haunted places in St. Augustine, Florida.
Castillo de San Marcos
The Castillo de San Marcos is often termed by locals as “The Old Fort”. This immense, star shaped structure sits on the Bay of the Matanzas. It is considered the “National Monument” of the city of St. Augustine. This fort has stood in the same place for over three hundred years, and is known for hauntings, and unexplained phenomenon. It is very common for visitors here to catch ghost pictures, and ghost videos. One of the most common sightings are the “orbs” that seem to surround the fort. As the city darkens, and individuals return to their homes and hotels, this particular structure seems to wake up – wake up the spirits that is.
In the year of 1784, an unfriendly, harsh colonel by the name of “Marti” came to perform work at the fort. He was not at all happy about his new assignment. He and his wife, Dolores, had come all the way from Spain to live and work at the fort. There was quite an age difference between him and his wife, and while he did love her, he rarely showed her. Dolores was quite unhappy about this and eventually ran into a man stationed at the Castillo de San Marcos by the name of “Manuel Abela”, a Captain. Eventually, Manuel and Dolores fell in love.
The couple was able to enjoy their love for some time, until the dire meeting in which Colonel Marti got the first indication that his wife was having an affair with the young Captain. The two officers had a standard meeting, and when the meeting ended, the young Captain strolled past the Colonel and the Colonel was able to catch a small sniff of Orange Blossoms. This scent was one that he often associated with his wife. He decided to wait and see what happened, but then he began to hear about rumors of the two seeing each other.
The Colonel was ready for revenge. One day, he had the Captain ordered to perform an inspection of an area that he had manipulated for his revenge. The Captain did as he was ordered, but he brought Dolores along so that they could spend time together. When they arrived, they were surprised by the Colonel, who held them at gun point. The Colonel had shackles put into the wall and he made his wife put the Captain in them. Then, he put the other set of shackles on Dolores and as they laid attached to the wall, crying, and screaming for help, he built a wall up around the area and closed them in the darkness….
For approximately two hundred years, many individuals reported hearing what appeared to be crying and mournful moans from deep in the fort. The scent of Orange Blossoms also often seemed to float in the air, and this could not be explained either. However, no one could ever find anything. That is, until the 21st day of July in the year of 1833, a cannon actually cracked a floor. When this happened, the depths of the fort were exposed. Upon investigation, the room in which the lovers had been placed was exposed and the skeletons were found, holding each other. A huge breeze came from the room, as well as the scent of Orange Blossoms. It is believed that Dolores and her lover still roam the fort, and the land, enjoying their love in the spiritual world….
You can also experience the ghosts of a woman in white who wanders around in various places both inside and outside the fort, and then vanishes. Spanish soldiers that appear to be so real that the living has talked to them also appear at the fort. You can often hear sounds of commands and war occurring – especially if you push your ear up against the coquina that the Castillo de San Marcos is composed of. There are many ghosts and unexplained phenomenon at this haunted place in St. Augustine.
The Huguenot Cemetery
The Huguenot Cemetery is another haunted place in St. Augustine. This was built in the year of 1821 to provide additional space for individuals that passed away due to yellow fever, and also to have an area to bury the dead that were not considered to be Catholic in life. Today, there are many stories surrounding ghosts that seem to reside in the haunted cemetery. These spirits include that of Judge John B. Stickney, children moving about and even sitting on the tombstones, a story of a young girl who loves to dance named Elisabeth, and even the spirits of a few pranksters who all died at nearly the same time and are buried next to each other….
The St. Augustine Lighthouse
The St. Augustine Lighthouse is another haunted place in this ancient city. Throughout the history of this location, individuals have passed on from the physical life to the spiritual world in many different ways. It is believed that the spirits of individuals who have died at sea follow the path of the light and end up on the grounds of the lighthouse. There is also a man that appears to be in a mist that is gray that has been caught by television stations walking around. There are also several little kids that seem to linger here as spirits – all of them females. Many have experienced seeing an apparition of a man hanging himself on stormy nights….
Conclusion
This guide lists the most popular haunted locations in St. Augustine, but there are several more, which include:
o The Old Spanish Hospital
o Harry’ Seafood Bar and Grille
o St. Francis Inn
o Flagler College
o Casa de la Paz
o Casa Monica Hotel
o The Old Jail

High Carbon Steel vs Stainless Steel for Your Hunting Knife – Which is Better?
When you are ready to buy a new hunting knife, one of the most important issues to consider is whether you want the blade to be made from a stainless steel or high carbon steel. There are several very distinct advantages and disadvantages of both types of steels and I am writing this article to share these factors with the reader so that you can make an educated decision when it is your time to buy.
As a general rule of thumb, high carbon steel is harder than stainless steel and will stay sharp for a longer period of time. The downside of having steel that is so hard is that when the knife eventually loses its sharp edge, it will be more difficult to re-sharpen. Hunters are particularly fond of high-carbon steel for their field knives because they need a knife that will keep its edge while skinning large animals. Re-sharpening a dull knife while the animal that you just killed is decomposing can be very tedious and frustrating. What many hunters fail to remember is that the high carbon content in their knife makes it much more prone to rust. Moisture is the main cause of rust on most hunting knives. This moisture can come from blood, rain, or water that is used to clean the blade. Always remember to thoroughly dry the blade of your knife (high carbon or stainless) after use if it comes into contact with any moisture. Storing your hunting knife in its sheath (knife holder) for long periods of time can also cause the blade to rust as moisture tends to develop inside of the sheath and sits on the blade which causes corrosion. I recommend that you do not store your knife in its sheath unless you are in the field or need it to be there.
Stainless steel knives tend to be more expensive than high carbon knives due to the fact that more work goes into making the knife stainless or “rust proof”. Many hunters are mislead by the word “stainless” and believe that their stainless steel hunting knife will not rust under any condition! This belief is false and many hunters are upset to find rust spots and corrosion on their favorite hunting or outdoor knives after only several uses. I recommend that you use the same caution and maintenance procedures with a stainless knife as you would with a high carbon knife in terms of rust prevention. Stainless steel is softer than high carbon steel and accordingly can be sharpened much easier.
It is a good idea to keep a light coat of non-detergent based oil on your high carbon-hunting knife when it is not being used. I especially recommend 3-in-1 oil; as it seems to be effective for rust prevention, yet gentle enough to not corrode the blade in any way. Many knife buyers like to use gun oil when it comes to lubricating their favorite hunting knives. This is a good practice, but I would advise that you make certain that the oil does not have any type of acid or other substance in it that could corrode the blade of your knife. Lubricating your stainless steel hunting knife with oil is usually not necessary, but a light coat of non-detergent based oil should not cause any harm.

Why Do We Need Tents During Hunting
A Tent is a small hut like structure which is set up using thick cloth material with the help of ropes and nails. The basic purpose of setting up a tent is for providing a temporary shelter.
Tents are used by different people for different purposes. Travelers use it for resting a while during their long journey, hunters use it as a resting spot in a jungle, military personnel use tents in their camps as a shelter for soldiers and also to store their weapons and goods. Tents are even used by scientists who do research work. For instance scientists in Antarctica use foldable and portable tents while they are involved in the process of taking samples for their research. Tents are used by mountaineers, trekkers for short stay. Tents are used by civilians when they are on a picnic or family tour.
Whatever the purpose a tent should be easy to setup, strong enough to withstand the period of stay and easy to remove. The material which is used for making a tent should be able to withstand strong blowing wind, heavy rain, etc. Also the material should be carefully chosen that it does not catch fire easily. The ropes used for setting up a tent should be thick, strong and more in length. The nails used for tying the rope should be very strong as it forms the base for a tent and withholds the tent for the entire period of setup.
The setting up of tents in the present day had become much easier than in the olden days. Today more flexible, strong, foldable, retractable tents are available ready made for sale. These modern tents can be easily setup. When we no longer need the tent, it can be folded and kept inside a backpack and can be carried easily to other places.
